POSITION: Part-time Director of The POINT Student Ministries

POSITION: Part-time Director of Student Ministries

WHO SHOULD APPLY? The part-time, primary weekend hours, and flexible nature of this position is well-suitable for a college or seminary student seeking to answer a call to ministry.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build and develop relationships with students and parents.
• Oversee and conduct Sunday night youth group activities and special events.
• Choose and/or develop and implement discipleship curriculum resources and Bible studies.
• Recruit, train and equip volunteers.
• Develop student leaders.
• Set and oversee the student ministries budget.
• Communicate and coordinate student activities with parents, staff and congregation.
• Attend school events and extracurricular activities as available to help foster student relationships.
• Participate in Sunday worship and other church activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
• A deep relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A commitment to Wesleyan doctrine and theology.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• A passion and vision for growing a vibrant student ministry.
• Commitment to the mission, values and beliefs, convictions/persuasions/opinions of Faithpoint Church.
• Complete and pass a background check.

REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor and Leadership Team

SALARY RANGE: Competitive for our market and experience.

POSITION: Part-time Worship Leader

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead weekly Sunday morning worship service and special event services (example: Christmas Eve and Good Friday). Currently we worship Sunday mornings, 10:30 – 11:45 am.
• Serve as the Team Leader of the Worship Band and Tech Team (sound board and computer).
• Choose music for each service and prepare and conduct weekly rehearsals (currently Thursday nights at 7:30 though flexible) as well as special rehearsals for the band and/or vocal teams.
• Listen for and implement new songs for congregational worship and special music.
• Conduct auditions for vocalists and instrumentalists.
• Select vocalists, instrumentalists, and tech team for worship services utilizing Planning Center and input song selection into ProPresenter.
• Download weekly worship service Sunday afternoon and upload to our YouTube channel.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong vocal abilities as well as being proficient on the guitar or piano and the ability to read music.
• Passion and vision for growing a vibrant, Christ-centered worship ministry.
• Ability to work with and coordinate a variety of instrumentalists and vocalists at differing levels of ability.
• Strong verbal and relational communication skills with the ability to direct transitions between songs within worship sets and other worship experiences.
• Commitment to the mission, values and beliefs, convictions/persuasions/opinions of Faithpoint Church (see attached).
